Aviator 2.0 game: a name on store apps, not a new version of Aviator
· checked by Omkar Thorve
There is no Aviator 2.0 from Spribe. The studio's catalogue lists Aviator once, with no second edition, and the game has never changed its name. "Aviator 2.0" is what several unrelated apps call themselves on Google Play, Uptodown and the Microsoft Store, borrowing the name of the crash game people are already searching for.

What is the Aviator 2.0 game?
It is a label, and different developers attach it to different things. Searching it from India on 2 October, we found two Play cards titled "Aviator 2.0 Game Online Cash", an Uptodown download under "Aviator 2.0", and a Windows app called "Aviator 2" in the Microsoft Store. They share a plane in the icon and the number in the name. They do not share a developer, and none of them is the studio that makes Aviator.
What you get after installing depends on the listing:
- arcade games where you fly a plane and dodge things;
- crash-style toys that draw a rising line and pay out in coins, not money;
- wrappers that open a web page carrying someone's casino link.
None of them is the Spribe round, because that round only runs on the studio's servers inside a licensed casino.
Why would a real update not need a new name?
Because Aviator is not an app you download and replace. Casinos load it from the studio when you open the lobby, so when Spribe changes something, every lobby gets the new build on the same day and the title stays "Aviator". A player never chooses between "Aviator" and "Aviator 2.0"; there is only ever one current build.
That gives a simple rule. If a product needs a version number in its name to tell you it is newer, it is shipped as a file, and a file is exactly what the original never is.
How do 2.0 apps compare with the original?

|---|---|---|
| Who makes it | Spribe | Various unrelated developers |
| Where it runs | Inside a licensed casino lobby | On your phone as a standalone install |
| Real-money bets | Yes, through the casino account | No, or through a casino link of the app owner's choosing |
| Seed and hash for each round | Yes | No |
| Published return | 97% | Not stated |
| Updates | Same day in every lobby, same name | New listing, new number in the name |
Is Aviator 2.0 safe to install?
Treat it as you would any app from an unknown developer. Check who published it, read the permissions before you tap install, and do not give it access to SMS or contacts. If an "Aviator 2.0" app asks you to deposit into it, stop: it is not a casino, and money paid into it is not protected by anyone's licence.
If the reason you searched was to play the newest Aviator, you already have it: the build in any casino lobby today is the current one. Our page on recognising the original Aviator shows what to check before you place a stake.
